Shiseido Tsubaki Premium Repair Hair Mask – Review

I believe I have never blogged about haircare before, and it’s time to change that. Here’s a review of one of my favourite products from Shiseido, the Tsabuki Premium Repair Hair Mask.

The mask features Shiseido’s unique technology allowing the active ingredients to penetrate rapidly into hair without the need for the product to stay on for a lengthy period of time; a few seconds are enough to get satisfying results. The formula includes a host of emollients like the stalwart glycerine and an assortment of hair-strengthening ingredients such as camellia oil, which has been used for nourishing hair for centuries in Japan. We can also find pearl protein, amino acids, hyaluronic acid, and royal jelly. The product has a luscious, fruity scent, and it is suitable for all hair types. Great for people who seek to add an extra step to their hair regimen or repair damaged hair.

I have been using this mask for a few years now, and I have used it a heap. I cannot say that I have tried all of the hair masks out there, but quite a few, and they have always been too heavy for my greasy, fine hair. My hair gets oily quite quickly, so any rich, moisturising hair treatment speeds up oil accumulation on my hair. This hair mask also does it, but to a lesser extent, I think it’s one of few products that agrees with my hair type. This shine-imparting treatment makes my hair soft and fluffy without any waxy or heavy feeling. It also helps to restore my hair after I get a perm. I input little effort into hairstyling, and permed hair cuts out any need for combing or styling. I just wash my hair and let it air dry. Also, permed hair stays fresher for longer, so it’s an ideal solution for me. However, the chemicals used for altering hair structure damage hair and make it dry for weeks, and this mask helps replenish some of the lost moisture. I have discovered that Karestase’s Ciment Thermique aids to revive permed hair, too.

The Tsubaki Premium Repair Hair Mask is a fantastic hair treatment for dehydrated hair regardless of thickness and texture. It gives salon-like results within seconds and at a much lower price. It’s worth giving a try if you feel like your hair needs extra care.
