I like this mask – it does what it says on the box, and it’s relatively affordable. I have gone through a few jars of this mask since its launch. By the way, in some markets, it’s also called Anew Clinical Overnight Hydration Mask.

In the formula, there are a lot of great ingredients that help to moisturise the skin such as glycerine, shea butter, hyaluronic acid, and urea. There are also saccharomyces ferment and honey both are beneficial for strengthening the skin’s barrier as well as hydrating it. The formula contains green tea extract and morinda citrifolia extract. The latter is commonly used in Polynesian folk medicine as it’s believed to have healing properties. Let’s assume that this interesting extract just as the green tea extract were added for antioxidants.

The mask has a consistency of thick gel; there are also white capsules that burst when you massage the product. The product can be sticky if you apply it on dry skin, so I would recommend wetting or misting your face beforehand. I would also recommend using small amounts and not reapplying more than two times, as it tends to roll if applied in large quantities. It can be used for a few minutes or left overnight. It works well on its own or as a part of a night-time routine.

The product is very hydrating and calming for the skin. I can always use it, even when my skin is compromised. It doesn’t irritate, sting or cause any breakouts. After using the mask, the next day, my skin is visibly hydrated, looks plumper, and overall has a nice touch to it. This mask boosts moisture in my skin, quite noticeably, and it doesn’t clog my pores. Besides various humectants and moisturising ingredients, that are in the formula, the addition of the ferment, honey, and plant extracts make the product more than just a hydrating mask. I would say that they help to improve the skin’s condition and nourish it. I am also glad to see urea in this mask because I use urea body lotions all the time. Urea is a fantastic ingredient, it helps to keep my skin moisturised, and it’s one of those underrated ingredients in the beauty industry.

Overall, it’s a wonderful product. The formula is packed with loads of moisturising ingredients and, it includes many skin-benefiting components. The mask is suitable for all skin types, and it doesn’t cause breakouts.
