This cleanser is from Watsons’ Target Pro line, which is supposed to be a clinical/pro one with a lot of eye-catching ingredients. The products are meant to treat the skin and strengthen its barrier – that’s the general concept of the line.

There are three ingredients written on the tube ‘Diamond Sirt, Ceramide and Thermal Spring Water’. Although these are interesting, there are many other exciting ones. The cleanser is based on glycerine; it’s the first ingredient in the list, and the consistency sort of resembles it. Then we can find niacinamide, squalane, sodium PCA, along with ceramide NP; all of these are great for strengthening the skin’s barrier, hence keeping it moisturised. There are also several extracts from centella asiatica, Japanese knotweed, matricaria, rosemary (leaf), and green tea – all full of antioxidants and skin-calming properties. The formula includes diamond sirt, which according to the information I could find is pentapeptide-35 mixed with silica and covered in diamond aggregate. This gives the peptide even better anti-wrinkle properties compared to a regular peptide. I am not sure how it works in a cleanser, so let’s hope it boosts skin’s moisture at least. The diamond powder is not supposed to exfoliate or anything of that sort – that’s what I’d imagined it would do before I started using the product. It seems like Watsons is one of the very few brands that use diamond sirt in their products; it’s pretty new, I assume. In the product, there’s no fragrance or anything that could be worrying in particular. 

The cleanser is fantastic; it cleanses skin gently without stripping any moisture. It’s a thick and translucent gel that doesn’t have any particular scent. Upon application, the gel warms up a little bit on the skin, though nothing irritating. The feeling is somewhat comforting, I would say. The cleanser doesn’t emulsify or lather, even if you add water. It removes everything – sunscreen and makeup. You can splash it off or use a flannel; both ways work well. It rinses off effortlessly, and it’s convenient to use while showering, too. You can use it on its own or as a part of a two-step cleansing routine in the evening. It can also serve as a morning cleanser, but I would go for something lighter. After cleansing, the skin feels soft and moisturised, as if you washed it with a rich, moisturising cream. It doesn’t clog pores or irritate the skin. Any skin type can easily use it. I really like this product and highly recommend it.
