I am sorry, I have gone quiet for a while (again…). I’ve been busy, but I promise to catch up ASAP! I hope you will enjoy today’s review.
I like Weleda. It’s a good, German brand making nature-oriented skincare, just like many German brands, e.g. Alverde, Dr Hauschka. Though I am not a particular fan of those ‘natural’ brands, because they are simply underwhelming. It is always hard for me to find something that would actually work. (I use the term natural very loosely because skincare can’t be completely natural — it needs preservatives, etc. to make things work. Perhaps pressed oils like almond or rosehip oil, are actually natural, if nothing was added to them.) However, I have a couple of natural favourites like this cleanser from Weleda.
This product is fragrance-free, vegan and contains organic almond and mild plum kernel oils that are the actual base of this product. It’s very gentle and can be used by anyone, at any age from very dry to acneic skin types; it won’t do any harm (if you tolerate all ingredients of course). You could think of it as a family cleanser, I would say. It’s so gentle that any member of your family can use it, with the exception of babies of course. It has a nice creamy texture that nourishes the skin while cleansing. If you are reactive or your skin is damaged, perhaps you just need a simple cleanser –– it’s the way to go. It’s inexpensive and cleanses the skin in the most gentle way. There are few ingredients — seven, to be precise, and nothing to worry about. I have gone through several tubes of this cleanser, and I always have a tube around.
Weleda recommend using the cleanser for removing makeup. It may work if you’re don’t wear too much on top, but I am not sure if it can cope with the heavier makeup types (if you know what I mean). For me, this is mainly my morning or second cleanser. I usually take something more dirt-lifting as the first cleanser to remove anything on top, and then I follow with this one. If you want you could use this product as your first cleanser, but follow it with a flannel to help to remove sunscreen/makeup.
Weleda Almond Soothing Cleansing Lotion is a great and gentle cleanser, with an affordable price tag. Ingredients are simple, yet enough to do the job. All skin types and ages can easily use this one without any problems. Great all year around.
Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Alcohol, Prunus Domestica Seed Oil, Xanthan Gum, Lactic Acid (weleda.co.uk)
Weleda’s Almond Soothing Cleansing Lotion costs about €10 for 75ml.

I think I’m sold. This sounds like something I’d like to have. And my opinion of natural cosmetic is very much the same plus it’s usually loaded with alcohols and natural fragrances that wreck havoc on my skin.
I hope you will like it! I totally agree about the natural products, it’s like walking on a land mine. If you get the right one you will be fine if you don’t, then you will regret.
Visiting from your insta, im both dry and breakout easily so this sounds gentle and amazing!
Thank you for visiting the blog and I hope you will like this cleanser!
