I think this product is a modern take on the idea of day and night cream; they are in one jar instead of two — a very bright idea.

The ingredients lists of the creams look dense, but in reality, there aren’t many extracts, vitamins, peptides, etc. that we usually find in Korean products. The day and night creams are basically humectants, emollients, and many various agents to give the products specific textures and consistencies. The day cream includes green tea extract and a bit of ascorbic acid. At the very bottom of the list, we can find Japanese goldthread and gardenia extracts, soothing allantoin & panthenol, and hyaluronic acid. The last ingredients are in surprisingly low amounts. On the box, it says that there’s only 0.1ppm of ascorbic acid, which equals to 0.00001% (if the online converter I used is correct). It means that anything after that is in minuscule quantity, given that the ingredients list is in descending order (as it should be). 

The night cream is pretty much the same, but instead of vitamin C and green tea, we get lavender oil and vitamin E. You pay here for the textures and scents more than anything. These moisturisers are the prime example of products that your dermatologist would tell you not to overpay for. 

Overall, I’ve enjoyed using both of the moisturisers. I think most skin types can use both of them. The exception would be people with sensitive skin as the lavender oil in the night cream may trigger adverse reactions. There isn’t much of lavender oil in the formula, but you can sense it. The night cream is technically gel. It is light and hydrating, but I had hoped for more hydration, I was disappointed after trying the product. It’s not suitable for use during the day, as it makes the skin look quite shiny, at least in my case. The day cream is somewhat dense but absorbs pretty quickly. It moisturises well, doesn’t clog pores; only sometimes it made my skin shiny. I suppose it was due to other products that I used.

Both of the creams are pretty decent. The product doesn’t stand out to me in any particular way other than the packaging, which I really appreciated while travelling; you travel with one jar instead of two. The formulas look quite empty to me. Where’s niacinamide, centella asiatica or some kind of ferment? These are the ingredients that I associate with Korean products, not a bit of green tea and lavender oil. I reckon Garnier have similar products in their lineups for much less. This product is not a waste of money; the creams do function as good moisturisers, but nothing is wowing about them.
