I usually don’t shop from Estee Lauder, they don’t carry many products that catch my attention, but this one is amazing. I notice quite a lot of inspiration from Asian beauty in this product, and let me explain to you why.
Estee Lauder’s description of the product:
Sheer fresh moisture without excess shine.
Supercharges skin with a nutritiously rich micro-algae blend.
Look refreshed and alive. Skin drinks it up. (esteelauder.co.uk)
The product itself is a full-on green smoothie. We can find here asparagus, algae, chlorella, cucumber, green tea, and ginseng extracts, to name a few. There are also a couple of ferments and hyaluronic acid. For moisturisation, there are shea butter, glycerine, and dimethicone. It’s packed with various ingredients that scream Asian beauty to me. Another similarity is the actual size of the product; the bottle has 100ml. I think it’s the only moisturiser from Estee Lauder that is this big; usually, they are in 50ml jars.
I have no idea what kind of magic is in this product, but this is the best pore-minimising/mattifying moisturiser I’ve ever tried. I mean it doesn’t block the sebum production completely, no moisturiser can do that, but it significantly decreases it. I can go without blotting for a longer time while using this moisturiser. The best part is that it doesn’t make your face look as if you dipped your head in a bag of flour. It feels and looks like a regular moisturiser. You wouldn’t suspect that it’s a product for oily skin, there’s no powdery look or feel to it. It resembles a hydrating lotion with a creamy but light-weight texture.
I find the mix of various plants and ingredients to have beneficial effects on my skin. Since I’ve started using this moisturiser, I’ve noticed an overall improvement in the condition of my skin, and I can only attribute it to this product. My skin looks more luminous and nourished if you know what I mean. Although this product is dedicated to people with oily skin type, I would say that all skin types can use it, especially during summer. It’s hydrating, full of beneficial ingredients, and it shouldn’t cause any troubles. The formula has fragrance and dyes in it, but the scent isn’t too strong, it’s comparable to other Estee Lauder’s products.
