PDC Direct White EX Whitening Essence – Review

I had been eyeing this product for quite some time. When I was buying this serum, I thought it would do a lot. It is supposed to fight hyperpigmentation, irritation, and moisturise the skin. There are ingredients to support that. Tranexamic acid is a popular ingredient used for treating hyperpigmentation in Japan. Then, there are liquorice extract and a vitamin C derivative. There are also hydrating ingredients like glycerine and hyaluronic acid, and many antioxidants from various plant extracts. I had high hopes that it would do a lot, but it didn’t happen.

I have used almost the entire 50 ml bottle of this product, there’s just bit left. I stopped using the product, because it had done nothing significant for my skin. I don’t have a massive problem with hyperpigmentation. Maybe something appears from an occasional spot here and there, but this product did nothing. It is literally like water, it is transparent and doesn’t smell like anything and does not do a thing. Amongst vitamin C serums, if ascorbic acid serum is a Ferrari, this serum is a broken bicycle; it won’t take you anywhere, and you have to drag it with yourself. I don’t have much to say about this one, it was a complete waste of my time and money. On the positive side, it didn’t irritate me, and it felt a bit hydrating.

I cannot offer this serum to anyone, it simply does nothing. Any ferment essence would do a better job than this serum. I would say save your money on this one and buy an FTE essence instead.
