In my reviews, I often talk about the potentiality of fragrance to irritate the skin, but, at the same time, I enjoy aromatherapy. I like essential oils and a bit of fragrance in my skincare. I despise overwhelming, artificial smells that knock you off your feet when you open a product. It’s just not for me. However, I love using both facial and cleansing oils. Elemental Herbology Harmonising Cleanse is a great cleanser, not only does it remove everything, but it also helps me to unwind. Relaxing is often overlooked, but letting the steam off is crucial for overall health, not only for the skin.

This cleansing oil is gentle, despite the addition of fragrance. I am sure many people with sensitive skin will enjoy it. Frankly, I would say it’s suitable for all skin types. It has a very sweet, but subtle scent that reminds me of honey mixed with citrus fruit. However, this cleanser is not just about the lovely smell and cleansing your face. The composition of various oils in it is meant to help to balance your skin. I cannot claim it really does so; I am not sure if a cleanser alone can do that. Though, I can say that it is suitable for acne-prone skin. I’ve been using it for a long time now, and it never broke me out; make sure you wash it off well. After cleansing my face with this oil, it feels soft and hydrated. There’s no residue left behind, and I don’t feel like I need to rewash my face.

I follow a double cleansing method. I like to use this cleanser, either as the first or the second step. I take about 3-4 pumps (1-2 won’t do it for my big face) and add a few drops of water, so it becomes sort of emulsion, but it still retains its oily consistency. Then I gradually add more water as I am massaging the cleanser on my face. I usually massage my face with my first cleanser for about 2-3 minutes to make sure everything was dissolved, the second cleanse is shorter. This oil can be removed by simply splashing it off with water or with a flannel. Honestly, I do both ways depending on how I feel.

I recommend this cleanser to everyone, regardless of the skin type. I am sure many of you will enjoy it. It is an excellent oil that removes everything and helps to calm and relax after a long day.
