Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Cleansing Oil – Review

Last summer, YesStyle had an anniversary sale, and I thought it would be a good opportunity to try this popular Korean skincare brand.

This cleansing oil includes a variety of fats—soyabean oil is the main ingredient, but there are also olive oil, Japanese camellia oil, and a few others. They all hydrate to varying degrees and provide much-needed antioxidants to the skin. We can also find ginseng extract, known for its soothing and skin-rejuvenating properties. The product is unperfumed but has a natural scent of processed soya beans, which reminds me of fried tofu. It makes me hungry every time I wash my face with this product.

I do not have much to say about this oil; it does what it says on the tin. It helps to loosen sunscreen and rinses off easily after emulsifying. If your sunscreen or makeup product isn’t particularly adhesive to the skin—I mean, not one of those waterproof types—you could probably get away with just washing your skin with this oil alone. It doesn’t cause any stinging around the eyes and leaves the skin soft and ready for the next steps.

It’s a no-brainer product. If you wear sunscreen or makeup regularly, cleaning your skin properly is indispensable, and cleansing oils help marvellously with that.

The Ginseng Cleansing Oil is available from Yesstyle.com [aff].
